Central Oregon Interagency Dispatch Center
The Central Oregon Interagency Dispatch Center’s (COIDC) new facility provides coordination and support for risk incidents for the Oregon Department of Forestry, the Bureau of Land Management, and the United States Forest Service. With this new building, officials with state and federal fire management agencies can more efficiently oversee operations that conduct over 1,000 flight operations and disperses approximately a million gallons of fire retardant every year. This “nerve center” provides efficient space for 40 employees to work comfortably when monitoring forest fires and coordinating the information flow to the public. The facility is located strategically at the Redmond Municipal Airport improving operational efficiency and enhances the COIDC’s ability to quickly respond to incidents.
