BBT designed this medical office with a contemporary feel that includes exposed wood ceilings and beams. The vaulted ceilings in the main spaces are enhanced by abundant natural light. The carbon footprint was reduced by incorporating a number of energy saving efforts, including PV panels to capture 280 days of sunshine, solar shading of windows, high insulation values and xeriscaping to minimize water use. BBT was aided by the Energy Trust of Oregon building program, helping the project team to further energy savings throughout the building.
